ZSIGMOND, EDE
ZSIGMOND, EDE (1916–1944), Hungarian poet. He came from a Jewish proletarian family. In his poems he expressed his socialist outlook and mourned his deported parents. He perished in labor service at the battle front. A collection of his poems was published posthumously under the title Elszàntan es szeliden ("With Decision and with Softness," 1961).
